Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about CyberWatch AI.
Yes — no AI is perfect. CyberWatch AI is highly accurate but it can occasionally miss a sophisticated scam or flag something legitimate. Always use your own judgement alongside the result, especially for high-value decisions like sending money or sharing personal details.
We never store the actual content you scan — your links, messages, and screenshots are not saved on our servers. We only store the scan type, risk score, and a short AI-generated summary. Your input goes directly to the AI and is not logged.
Yes. CyberWatch AI reads the message itself rather than matching a list of known scams, so it works in any language and for any country. It recognises the tactics behind fraud everywhere — manufactured urgency, impersonated banks and employers, advance-fee requests, fake payment alerts and investment offers.
The free plan gives you 5 scans per day for URLs and messages. Pro gives you unlimited scans, screenshot analysis, your full scan history with CSV export, and email alerts when a high-risk threat is detected. Pro is $1.99/month and you can cancel anytime.
Yes. Payments are processed securely by Paystack and we accept debit and credit cards as well as Mobile Money — MTN MoMo, Vodafone Cash, and AirtelTigo Money. No hidden fees. You can cancel your subscription at any time.
CyberWatch AI was built by Divine and Gideon Egyabeng, two brothers. It is an independent project, not backed by venture capital. We built it because we were tired of watching people lose money to preventable scams online.

Scan any link without leaving your browser
Right-click any link and scan it instantly with CyberWatch AI — no copy-pasting, no switching tabs. Works on every website.
Most people only find out it was a scam after the money is gone.
CyberWatch AI exists to move that moment earlier — to the few seconds before someone clicks, pays, or replies. Paste anything suspicious and get a straight answer, in any language, anywhere in the world.

Why we built it
Scams stopped looking like scams. The grammar is clean, the logos are right, the sender looks familiar, and the request is urgent enough that checking feels rude. Fake payment confirmations, job offers with an upfront fee, a message that appears to come from your bank — all engineered to bypass careful judgement rather than defeat a firewall.
We kept watching people we know lose money to attacks that were obvious in hindsight. Not because they were careless, but because nobody had a fast, honest way to ask is this real? without feeling foolish. That question is what CyberWatch AI answers.
Founders
CyberWatch AI is built by two brothers who work in security operations. The detection logic comes from attacks they respond to in their day jobs.
Divine Egyabeng
Co-founder · Security Operations Analyst
Divine spends his working days monitoring threats, analysing attack patterns and responding to incidents before they become breaches. That is where the detection engine came from — not from a threat-intelligence feed, but from seeing which tricks actually land on real people, week after week. He built the first version because the advice he kept giving colleagues deserved to be available to everyone.
Gideon is the reason CyberWatch AI makes sense to people who are not security professionals. As an analyst he had used plenty of tools that were powerful and unusable — too technical, too cold, too full of jargon to act on. He owns how the product thinks and speaks. If a scan result is clear enough for your grandmother to act on immediately, that is his work.
A link, an email, an SMS, a WhatsApp message, or a screenshot of one.
02
It reads the content, not a blocklist
The same reasoning a fraud investigator applies: manufactured urgency, impersonation, mismatched domains, requests that do not fit the relationship.
03
You get a verdict you can act on
A risk score, the specific red flags in plain language, and what to do next — in seconds.
Because it analyses the content itself rather than matching a database of known scams, it works the same way in any country and any language — including attacks that are days old.
What we commit to
We do not store what you scan. Links, messages and screenshots are analysed and discarded. We keep the risk score and a short summary, never the content.
We do not sell your data. There is no advertising business here, and there never will be.
We tell you when we are unsure. A confident wrong answer is worse than an honest uncertain one, so the verdict says what it could not determine.
It supports your judgement, it does not replace it. Especially before sending money, treat a low-risk result as one input, not permission.

Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 2026
CyberWatch AI uses a small amount of local storage on your device to make the site work. This page explains what that is and why it's there.
Essential storage
We use your browser's local storage, not traditional tracking cookies, to keep you signed in between visits and to remember your light or dark theme preference. This information stays on your device and is only used to make the site function properly.
Payment processing
When you upgrade to Pro, our payment provider Paystack may set its own cookies during checkout to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. These are set and controlled by Paystack, not by CyberWatch AI directly.
What we don't do
We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't sell or share data with ad networks. CyberWatch AI does not run ads.
Managing storage
You can clear local storage and cookies at any time through your browser or device settings. Doing so will sign you out and reset your theme preference, but won't affect your account or scan history, which are stored securely on our servers.
As a scam detection platform, we hold ourselves to a high standard for how we handle your data. Here's exactly how CyberWatch AI keeps your information secure.
What we never store
We do not store the actual content you scan. Your links, messages, and screenshots are sent for analysis and are not saved on our servers. We only keep the resulting risk score, label, and a short summary, so your original content stays private.
Encrypted connections
Every connection to CyberWatch AI, on the website, in the browser extension, and in the Android app, is encrypted over HTTPS. Your data is never sent in plain text.
Account security
Authentication and account data are managed through Supabase, which encrypts data at rest and follows industry standard security practices. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
Payment security
Payments are processed by Paystack. CyberWatch AI never sees or stores your card details directly; that information is handled entirely within Paystack's secure, PCI compliant systems.
No data selling
We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising. Your information is used only to provide the CyberWatch AI service to you.
Reporting a concern
If you believe you've found a security issue with CyberWatch AI, please report it to info@cyberwatchai.com so we can investigate promptly.
CyberWatch AI
Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
CyberWatch AI is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
When you create an account we collect your name and email address. When you run a scan we store the scan type, risk score, label, and a summary — but never the full content of what you scanned. We do not store your actual messages, links, or screenshots on our servers.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to provide the CyberWatch AI service — enforcing scan limits, showing your scan history, and sending email alerts for high risk detections on Pro accounts. We never sell your data to third parties.
Third party services
We use Supabase for authentication and database storage, Paystack for payment processing, OpenRouter for AI analysis, and Resend for email delivery. Each of these services has their own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at info@cyberwatchai.com.
By using CyberWatch AI you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
